General rules

These rules apply to every competition. Each competition also lists its own extra rules on its page.

Who can take part

  • Students at any institution in Bangladesh, from secondary school through university.
  • Tiers: class 6-8, SSC, HSC, admission candidates, and university.
  • Each competition states which tiers it is open to on its own page. The headline round is for university students only.
  • Entering a contest, the headline round or a game costs coins, and the price is shown before you commit. Signing up gives you 20 coins. More can be earned on the site, or bought on the coins page. Practice sets are free.

Registration

  • One registration per student.
  • You receive a Roll ID after registering, keep it safe.
  • False or incorrect details lead to disqualification.
  • Guardian consent and a guardian contact number are required for entrants under 18. No guardian details are collected from admission candidates or university entrants.

During the test

  • The test opens at the scheduled time and the timer does not pause.
  • Answers are saved in your browser, so a dropped connection is recoverable, sign back in and continue.
  • Outside help, multiple devices, or entering on someone else’s behalf all lead to disqualification.
  • When time runs out, the paper is submitted automatically.

Results and prizes

  • Ties are broken by completion time, then by earliest submission.
  • The results date is listed on each competition page.
  • Prizes are cash, funded by sponsors. Every subject contest pays its top three BDT 5,000, 3,000 and 2,000.
  • The headline round pays a first prize of BDT 45,000, and BDT 15,000 to each of 3 runners-up.
  • Each ranked game has a weekly board, Monday to Sunday, Bangladesh time. The top players of the week win a prize.
  • Before any prize is paid, a campus representative meets the winner in person and checks their ID. The card is never photographed, and a national ID number is never stored.
  • The prize money is paid straight to the winner, never through a school, a teacher or anyone else. Claiming a prize never costs money or coins.
  • The organiser’s decision on results is final.
