About us
ovoy is an open competition platform for students in Bangladesh, from secondary school through university.
The goal is simple: a student outside Dhaka should be able to enter a national-level competition with nothing but a phone and a connection. There is no gatekeeping round. Entry costs coins, but they can be earned on the site, not only bought.
What we run
- Weekly quizzes, short, subject-based, open to all.
- Monthly olympiads and essay contests.
- Longer-running contests such as science projects and art.
- Admission mock tests, and case challenges at university level.
- The headline round, the largest prize of the year, for university students.
- 12 brain games. 11 of them have a weekly board, and the top players of the week win a prize.
- Free practice sets with worked explanations.
Who pays for the prizes
Sponsors. A sponsor pays for a contest’s prize pool or the headline round’s prizes, and every taka given for a prize goes to the winners as prize money. Students only ever pay for coins, and only on the coins page.
Why two languages
Bangla-medium students should never lose ground because of language, so the whole site and every question exists in both Bangla and English.
